"IT" OR NO "IT"

Please take a look at these sentences.

1.I found a place with lots of plants around.

2.I found a place with lots of plants around IT.

Which one is correct 1 or 2? I feel that I need the "it" to specify that there are plants around this place. Am I correct in my assumption? Please let me know.
