it never crossed your mind/it never occured to you

Hi
I have some doubts:
"(It never crossed your mind/it never occured to you) that I just might not feel comfortable with that!"
1) "I just might not feel..": is the structure correct?
2) is there a difference in nuance/meaning between the "occur" and the "crossed your mind" formulas?
Thank you.
