It means~
Hello, I know clearly the meaning difference between " mean + ing" and "mean +V" and when I have to use it but I could find many examples using "to V" when explaining words' meanings but I think that using "-ing" is more logically right. Please help me and enlighten me. For example, The word photosynthesis means ( a) to put / (b) putting together with light.
