Hello...

In the below, "It is well" is written instead of "It is good".

a. It is well that the earth is round that we do not see too far ahead. (Meryl Streep)

b. It is well that war is so terrible, otherwise we would grow too fond of it. (Robert E. Lee, Statement at the Battle of Fredericksburg (13th December 1862)
