It is very abstract???

Hi, Today one of the student in my class said the reading material is "too abstract" . I do not know what that means. I looked up the dictionary and it says :
Adjective
Existing in thought or as an idea but not having a physical or concrete existence.
Verb Consider (something) theoretically or separately from something else.
Noun A summary or statement of the contents of a book, article, or formal speech.

and I think I should look at adjective. If I am right.
But what does that mean?? we were talking about business management reading material.
Could someone please explain what that means??? Please???

Anonymous Today one of the student in my class said the reading material is "too abstract" I suppose that he means it is too theoretical; it does not contain enough specifics from real business situations.
