Consider the occasion two persons are talking about a specific issue/matter. When does the second speaker, the one who wants to start the rest of the conversation, as a short answer say: It is supposed to.

Actually, I know the usage of "be supposed to be". However, I don't know when to say just "It is supposed to". Can you give me an example?
