Essay & Composition Writing

It is neither possible nor useful for a country to provide university places for a high proportion of young people. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is believed that providing university education for a large number of young people is impossible and useless. In my opinion, I completely agree with this point of view.
It is proved that it is impossible to expand more university places. The main reason for this trend is the costs for students entering university education are very high. Their family has to spend a large amount of money on tuition fees, food expenses, and other costs without ensuring that their son or daughter would get a stable job or earn a high income after graduating from university. My brother is a point in case. He received a bachelor of economics in a prestigious university, but he did not find employment and had to live based on my parents.
There are some reasons for providing many students with tertiary education is useless. The first reason is that everyone could enter university education easier, which leads to an excess of labor. Many graduate universities might be unemployed, which puts heavy pressure on the government to tackle this problem. The next reason is university students are taught about theoretical knowledge on traditional learning models without having any practical experience, which might have difficulty finding jobs in the future. My friend, for instance, applied CV for many positions in a lot of companies, but she was not received because she has no experience in this field and no practical skills as interpersonal or teamwork skills.
In conclusion, as reasons mentioned above, it is impossible and useless to provide university places for many young people.
