It is more important for school children to learn about local history than world history. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Some people believe that it is more neccesary for youngster learn about regional history than global history. While I accept that children need to learning history, I believe that local and world history are equally important.

On the one hand, there are variety of reasons why children should learn history. Firstly, children who learn history are usually able to have a good graps of core value of their contry. As a resutl, when children have better knowlegde of traditional cutural, they can easily pass on it from generation to generation. Secondly, teenagers can not only enlarge their awareness of some important events in the past but also gain some valuable experience. For example, they can understand how Vietnamese got freedom.

On the other hand, the value of studying world history must not be underestimated. Studying history bring about a good chance for teenagers to obtain a lot of information of the making process of other country. If children in Vietnam learn about American history they will know American was found by Colombo. Another benefit of studying history is that youngster can understand how the history of one country has an influence on the history of other countries. Such as, the collapse of the fascist has come to affect the result of World War II.

For reason mentioned above, I believe that the local and world history are equally important.
