It is more important for school children to learn about local history than world history. To what extent do you agree or disagree

these days, the role of history subject in school has highly heated debated. whether students should spend their time to explore their own nation's history, it is a good choice for them. however, in my opinion, children need to learn not only about local history but also history of the world.

it is necessary for pupils now their country's historical events. furthermore, this creates the present as long as the background of future development of society. therefore, students have to know where they are from. each citizen need to have basic knowledge about nation's history. what's more, having information about history of country is the one of the practical ways to present children's love for their own nation.

it not to say that the world history is not essential for local children. the general human history is from every nation in the whole world. hence, to know about history of the world will improve student's knowledge and expand their horizon as well. the more culture and tradition children explore, the more knowledge and interesting things they gain.

all in all, the combination between learning local history and exploring world history is to provide the larger eye view about student's life in general and particularly about the human's world. Moreover, school and teacher should encourage children actively quest to nation's history and the world wide history as well.
