Educating children at an early age is always an attractive problem due to its crucial role in creating their personalities, deciding who they will be in the future. However, supporting children to distinguish right and wrong is still a tough question until now, which adults always try their best to find out the most suitable answers persistently. In my opinion, as the living standard is developing rapidly, children nowadays are more intelligent than in the past. They are having better nutrition and health care system. As a result, although education is still a question requiring higher version answers, teaching children nowadays are smarter making it less difficult as it used to. However, there are several ways to make kids realize what are the right things they should do. Punishment could be considered as an ineffective way to teach children, it may bring back positive results but also causes a lot of drawbacks. From my perspective, persistence, being gentle and harmonious are always the best way to educate children since they are young.

It is undeniable that every child has their own personality, they are all different about mental health. As a result, applying one solution by punishment in order to educate them is probably not an effective way at all. For example, when a child makes a mistake, it could be work in a situation that people give punishment to a child knows to listen and they actually learn. However, in contrast, if they give punishment to a stubborn child, who is not willing to change his behavior, the punishment might be concerned as a leap for them to mess things up more. The more punishment people give them, the more naughty they might be.

However, teaching children with gentle behavior, analyzing the situations, supporting to fix the problems, and helping them understand why that action is bad. Helping children realizes good and bad things can also help them remember better and they probably not make the same mistake in the future. Punishment is only the last way to educate children. If they are not willing to learn even after being analyzed about their mistakes, parents and teachers are allowed to give them punishment. However, it does not mean violent actions or turning into aggressive behavior, parents and teachers can apply some punishments such as detention or stricter managerment.
