It is high time somebody did something

It is high time we take back that which was stolen from you. All of those who wish to join my fight, you follow me!

The above sentence is from the American TV show "Charmed". The structure that I have learned is " It is high time somebody did something". So grammatically, is this sentence wrong? Should we say "It is high time we took back..."?
