It is going to be a long time "before" the next time .....?

Hello
I would like to say it is going to be a long time before the next time I see my doctor, and I am just wondering if it makes sense if I wrote the sentence like this, "It's going to be long before my next appointment with my doctor"?

Thank you!

Ann
