Nowadays, city dwellers get in shape and have good work-out, which accounts for very low rates. Lack of physical practice has two main reasons, which are no access to suitable exercise places and the shortage of time. According to these reasons, there are many effective solutions which can be taken by both governments and individuals to eliminate this negative trend.

The fact that people in urban areas have difficulties having enough workouts seems to be reasonable. Firstly, the available sports spaces don’t meet the needs of the city’s overcrowded population. Therefore, most people have knowledge about the importance of workouts, but there is no public place near their house. Secondly, urban citizens couldn’t manage their time because they are swept into the maelstrom of work, and they use the excuse of no time to ignore getting in shape.

According to those challenges, there are some workable measures to overcome those difficulties. For the governments, they can construct more space such as parks or stadiums. If sports areas increase in the city, citizens may spend more time enhancing their physical health. For companies, constructing small gym spaces is a good way to improve the employee’s health. For individuals, they need to take advantage of every moment to do exercise. For example, in the office, they can walk the stairs instead of using escalators or elevators. Or simply download workout software applications on their smartphones. Short workouts durations boost motivation to do exercise every single day.

In conclusion, although some hinders prevent exercise habits in the city, governments and individuals can work together to deal with this problem.
