It is a situation under control

Hi There,

I wanted to know if this sentence is gramatically correct. I know it sounds awkward and there are better ways of expressing it, but is there a gramatical rule that it breaks.

The sentence is from the spoken register, hence the it-clause.

Thanks

Seems OK to me, although I'd write it as . . . the 'it' clause.
