I'm trying to understand the difference between these three sentences and if all of them are correct:

It helps me to relax

It helps me relax

It helps me relaxing

Can anyone tell me what the rule is?

Hi Anon, I consdier the rules of English sort of like the sequence of DNA . If you understand and arrange it in the right form and order, it will sound and look correct. Concerning the use of [help], you can't say " he helped me cleaning " but you can say " he helped me clean "; or " he helped me with the cleaning ".
