"It gave no hint away."

Is the structure correct? For ex., I want to say that Jane Bennet's attitude towards Bingley was rather vapid. Could I say her actions gave no hint away?

It does not carry enough information for me. I do not understand what you want to say about Jane's attitude.

Her actions gave no hint of her feelings.

"Vapid" is not the right word, by the way.
