Hello.

Please, explain to me what's the difference between It didn't last long and It didn't last for long. Can we say

It lasted long or It lasted for long? It lasted for 10 days or It lasted 10 days ? In what cases should we use for?

Since long is also used as an adverb, you can say it either way.

Both 'It lasted long' and 'It lasted for long' sound OK. There's no difference between the two
