It depends on the person / It depends on people
A: Girls like bags, don't they?
B: It depends on the person / It depends on people.
Which one is natural? I think that girls is a plural form so people is natural or correct but the first sentence is more common. So what do you native English speakers think? Thank you so much as usual in advance.
