It is undeniable that information technology has been playing a main role in transforming my daily life and work in the last decade. This transformation brings about both pros and cons. This essay will discuss these both sides of such matter.

Regarding the benefits that information technology brings to my life, there are some presented as follow. Firstly, it fastens and facilitates my communication with family and colleague. For example, a call just takes some seconds to contact my mother or my boss even they are staying a half of the globe far from me. Moreover, to set up a conference with attendees are all around the world, the organizer does not need to book flights for them to travel to an agreed place to meet together; they just need to make a call in which attendees are able to join mutually. This just can be implemented due to the introduction of information technology. Secondly, this technology also brings change to entertainment activities. In the past, when I want to see a movie, I had to go to cinema because films cannot be provided to each home due to unavailable cable. At present, I can enjoy my favorite movie at home without disturbance from others because of the appliance of the Internet.

However, this transformation also has some drawbacks. The reliance on this has detrimental impact on communication between people in person. We are lazy to talk together, just want text or email even we are living under the same roof or working in the same place. This will pose a threat to our relationship. For instance, a dad want to teach a child to play football; he does not talk directly to his son, just messages. In addition, the exclusive exposure to computer which is configured by information technology will reduce eyesight of people and facilitate diseases caused by sedentary lifestyles.

In conclusion, information technology has been transformed us in both positive and negative manners. We need to take advantage of the positives and hinder the negatives.
