Essay & Composition Writing

Issue with detailing the origin of a text

Hello everyone,

I hope I am posting this in the right sub-forum.

I am writing an essay on the Australian identities represented in several texts which we have studied in class, but I have a dilemma.
I want to acknowledge the production contexts of the film, "The Man from Snowy River". The version I will be using is the film released in 1982.
I want to acknowledge that the film was originally adapted from a story by the same name in 1920 and then remade into the edition I am using.
It is important to highlight the 1920 film as this was produced during the White Australia policy, a policy which is vital in my interpretation of the text and the identity it presents.

I can't seem to formulate a short succinct sentence.

Help me, please.

Thanks,
Michael

Hello, kuhni-- and welcome to English Forums. I don't know whether it's possible to put all that into a succinct sentence either, but if you give it a try, we will help you polish it.
