Is/are

There's so much culture, nature, art, and food in this world that you can't even imagine is/are real and that actually exists.

My gut tells me 'is' but I'm describing more than one thing.

Please explain. Thank you!

"is" is correct. " is always treated as singular. I guess the grammatical requirements of "much" take precedence over the apparent plurality.

"is" is correct. Irrespective of how many things follow, "so much ..." is always treated as singular. I guess the grammatical requirements of "much" take precedence over the apparent plurality.

Consider whether "but" would be better than "and".

Basically, (1) spoken language is linear, so the speaker thinks of only one item at a time, and (2) "there's" is easier to say than "there're".
