Is/Are

I feel like a should use is and b should use are. But surely they both should use the same verb. Which is it? Thanks

a What I enjoy most about e-commerce is/are the strategy and analytics.

b Strategy and analytics is/are what I enjoy most about ecommerce.

Why? They have different subjects. The verb should match the subject.

I was taught linking verbs are like an equal sign, so I guess that's why I had a hard time figuring out what the subject was.

Yes, but that doesn't mean you'll never see the verb agree with the predicate noun (on the right).
