Which is correct:

1. Who of them is/are.....

2. Which of them is/are......

Are both forms correct?

* If you know the answer will be one or the other, use the singular [which of the two will win the election?]. If there's an expectation of more than one, use the plural [which of the actors will be on stage together?].

So if I think of one person only I should say: Who of them is going to win AND if I think of more than one than I should say: Who of them are going to win. Right?

Is it possible to say: Who of the two will win...... instead of Which of the two will win.....

I assume from your answer Philip that you prefer "Who of them..." because it refers
