Is you ready?

Hi,

I am recently watching "Prision Break" and some actor sings a song and he sings as follows:

....

"Is he ready?"

"Are you ready?"

....

From the lyrics above, "Is you ready" is, I think, really weired. How do I explain this in terms of gramatical logic?

Thanks

As for your question. It seems it's written - "Are you ready?" and it's fine with me. "Is you ready" is not grammatically correct.
