Is ya good or art thou well

Question

So, someone walks up to you and says, "How are you?"

You must respond! Time is running out! (And, incidentally, the robotic response of "Fine, thanks. And you?" is forbidden.)

You must choose between:

A) I'm well.

and

B) I'm good.

Which do you choose? And why? Do you feel as if one of the responses is wrong grammatically? If so, which one, and why?

In selected usage, actually "good" (or any adjective) can be considered as an adverb. i.e. You look really good / nice today, the song you just performed sounded wonderful/  good as well.

I can't remember ever having heard someone say "I'm well" as a response to the greeting "How are you?"

This (and variations) would be quite common, in BrE:

"How are you?"

"I'm very well, thank you."

Yes, this may be the case; I mean the difference between American English and British English. A native speaker from the USA also said that he had never heard somenoe saying I'm well as a response to the question ''How are you?''
