Is "What it's like to + verb" an idiom/phrase?
BoSsSy Is "What it's like to + verb" an idiom/phrase? I suppose you could think of "what it's like" as an idiom for "what it resembles", but I suspect that to native speakers "to be like" sounds literal. This reminds me of the Akins article in response to Nagel.
