Is "warded" correctly used?

Ms Oh was taken to SGH and was warded in the intensive care unit. When her condition stabilised after a little over a week, she was moved to a high dependency ward.
Is "warded" correctly used?
Thanks.

tamguatlay Is "warded" correctly used? Yes, even though it's not in most dictionaries with this meaning. I'd say that this is hospital jargon, not a usage widely seen.
