Is vs. Was

A. One of my first experiences at the facility was going to a training workshop there.
-This seems to imply it is no longer one of my first experiences; i want to avoid that.
B. One of my first experiences at the facility is going to a training workshop there.
-This implies I am still going to the training workshop, which I am not.

1. Which of A or B is better?
2. Can I word this in a better way?

"A" seems fine to me. I do not see a problem with it. Why do you think it implies that it is no longer among your first experiences?

"One of the first experiences" cannot cease to be one of the first.
It is something that happened in the past, so was is appropriate.

A) is fine. It does not imply that one of your first experiences is no longer one of your first experiences.

I apologize because you found it hurtful, but I had no intention of being condescending.

It's just a fact that you'll have to change how you think about these factors concerning tense because, and again it's just a fact, you don't seem to have an accurate grasp on how tenses work. If you k
