Is Vs Are?

What is the proper way to write this

The First Quarter Financials "is" being finalized

The First Quarter Financials "are" being finalized

Top answer

Why have you capitalised "First Quarter Financials"? If this is the title of a document then "is" would be correct, but in this case I would put The First Quarter Financials in italics. If, however, you are using the words with their normal general meanings then drop the capitalisation and use "are".
