I believe I know what you mean, but we don't say it that way in the US. We'd need to add some words. The expressions "vacuum-packed" and "vacuum-sealed" have been around for a long time.

But we use them as adjectives.

(You're talking about the packaging, right?)

It was sealed under vacuum. . Here, "vacuum" is a noun.

Vacuum is a noun, and I think if placed before cleaner would be an adjective. An adverb describes a verb and the sentence this snack was made vacuum does not make sense. One is not describing a verb which is a 'doing word'. If you said the 'snack was vacuum packed' then 'vacuum' would become an adverb as it describes how the snack was packed.

Oh yes,

I wanted to mean adjective, not adverb.

It was mistaken.

CalifJimNone of the others are adverbs.
You're probably right.
I was thinking, "If it were made 'in the vacuum way' ".

I'm trying to imagine what might be in an English learner's mind when he says, "If it were made vacuum."

I'm too tired. Is there a single word for "from scratch?" "It was made from scratch." (a way of making something)
