Is "through" the right preposition?

Hi,

Is "through" the right preposition in my sentence below? What about "via"?

".... Demographic and other information required, such as age, height, weight, and length of service, were also collected through a self-made questionnaire. The questionnaires were completed by the researcher through in-person interviews."

Thanks!
