Is this worded correctly?

Although the Tarsans were cut off from the city, they continued their drive toward the distant tents that housed the imperial priests instead of surrendering or attempting to fight their way back into the city.

cboutin3 Although the Tarsans were cut off from the city, they continued their drive toward the distant tents that housed the imperial priests instead of surrendering or attempting to fight their way back into the city. It's a bit long, but it's grammatical. I'd make some kind of break before 'instead of'.

  • Out of context it's hard to understand who is where and who is doing what to whom.
