Is this usage common?

(1)It's fun working here with you.
(2)It's fun to work here with you.

(3)He found it hard living on his salary alone.
(4)He found it hard to live on his salary alone.

The point is whether (1) and (3) are common expression or not.
My English-grammar-reference book in Japanese makes me study these sentences.
Each opinion between my Japanese teachers and one native speaker is different, besides they are arguing. Please tell me what you think.
