Is this the correct way for this to be written?

"No one killed after suicide bomber attacks near US-Afghan base"

My question is, if the suicide bomber died, was someone killed? Or I'm I reading it correctly in my thinking that in order for someone to have been killed, he would have had to deprive someone other then himself of life?
