Is this statement correct ?

Hey,

I replied to an email as

"I want to confirm that I am attending this phone interview as discussed."

Is it meaning that I am confirming the attendance or not ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

It's not a smooth and easily understood statement because of the choice of word and construction in my opinion. We attend classes and conference. But "attend a phone interview" is a new one for me.

  • " Want - is not a recommended word if you are requesting or asking for something from someone.
  • I would like to - is much softer and polite.
