Is this statement an oxymoron ?

The measure of a business/trader is not how they perform day to day when things are going well but how they behave when something goes wrong.

Welcome to the forum [<:o)] I can't see an oxymoron in this sentence. From my dictionary :- Oxymoron :- two words used together which have, or seem to have, opposite meanings So things like- friendly fire, a rough embrace, a working holiday, clearly misunderstood - are oxymoron.

I can't see an oxymoron in this sentence.

From my dictionary :- Oxymoron :- two words used together which have, or seem to have, opposite meanings

So things like- friendly fire, a rough embrace, a working holiday, clearly misunderstood - are oxymoron.

What would you call this statement then,

Its advocating that the best way to judge a company or business is not by its supply performance or quality but by the way it deals with complaints and things that have gone wrong.

Surely if things have to go wrong for the business be favourably judged then its not a good business.

The best measure is not X but Y.

X being the day to day progress when things are going well. Y being how they behave when things go wrong.
