In 352 AC, Alhana received the sign when her starjewel went from glowing brightly to dull and dead, and she knew instantly that her love Sturm had been killed. Alhana took this as a sign that there was no hope, and she ran from the Tower of the Stars to where she had buried Lorac, thinking of just dying herself. She instead saw a living tree growing where she had buried her father and knew that it was time to return to the exiled elves.
