When the Solamnic Knights’ High Council proposed to send Derek Crownguard, an ambitious Rose Knight, on a quest to acquire a dragon orb in 351 AC, Gunthar insisted that Aran accompany him in order to ensure that Derek’s dour demeanor would not ruin the mission.
