Raszyn is a place of the battle, which took place on April 19, 1809 during the Austro- Polish War between the Polish army of 12,000 soldiers under Prince Joseph Poniatowski and an Austrian corps of 25,000 soldiers under Archduke Ferdinand d'Este. Every year the Raszyn Community Office organizes historical picnic on the causeway and the main point of the program is the re-enactment of the battle of Raszyn. This show is played out in the uniforms from the epoch, amid the real cannons' roar and dust, so it draws crowds of people and it became a tourist attraction of the Raszyn Commune.
