Is this sentnece grammatically coreect?

There have been numerous responses already and in an effort to honor respondent’s time with the potential interview process, I was wondering if I could ask you some questions to help expedite the process?

respondent's should be respondents' and you don't need the question mark at the end. "honor respondents' time with the potential interview process" doesn't sound right to me. I suppose you could change "with" to "in respect of", but, to be honest, I already find the phrase overly elaborate, and this just makes it worse.

  • Could you say something like "....
  • " or does that feel too casual?
