Is this sentence written okay?

Jennifer didn't know when she was going to see Greg, but she hoped that his sis would have longed forgiven her by the time she saw Greg again.

(I need to keep this sentence in past tense, is this okay?)

If I use 'see' instead of 'saw' is that okay too? Thanks.

'Sees'? Not really. The other past tenses strongly regress it to 'saw'.
