Is this sentence worded correctly?

This action accomplished two goals for Fistandantilus, firstly that he could now direct the Kingpriest, and secondly he would be allowed to study a Portal to the Abyss secretly.

I would delete the word "that" and change the first comma to a colon. "allowed to study a Portal to the Abyss secretly" may not be right, depending on what "a Portal to the Abyss" means. It is hard to tell without more context.
