Is this sentence well-worded?

Hi!

Would you change anything in this sentence?

Since both the company's owner and the employer, upon signing the employment agreement, confirmed that the salary will be paid, the employee expected that the employer will voluntarily pay the salary debt.

Thanks!

Generally, the company owner is considered the employer. Are they different parties? Did the employee sign the agreement?

  • Generally, the company owner is considered the employer.
  • Are they different parties?
  • Did the employee sign the agreement?
  • Presumably the salary figure arose from the agreement, so "confirmed" is a little odd.
  • Salary owed isn't strictly speaking a debt.
