Is this sentence structured correctly?

Hi!

Is the following sentence structured correctly? And is it understandable?

When the application for divorce was already submitted, the wife, surrendering to the husband's pressure, at the end of July of 2013 agreed to attend the wedding of the husband's sister in Spain along with the husband himself and their daughter, and afterwards they left for London, England.

Thanks a lot!!

It sounds a bit "official" or contrived, but it is correctly composed. You might try making the statement in more than just one sentence.
