Is this sentence right?

Hi guys
in this sentence: "my mom forgot to bring me a cd to burn my school work." should I have used "my mom has forgot..." or not? and why?

Yes, the sentence is basically correct. I would add "on" or "onto" at the end:

"My mom forgot to bring me a cd to burn my school work."

Depending on the context, you can say:

"My mom has forgotten to..."
