Is this sentence ok?

Hi,

In the below conversation between the two individuals, are the breakdown of the sentences ok?

'That's a really stupid question!' she said.

'I know. I just realised what I said, I'm so sorry.'

Is the above line ok?
Or should it maybe have a comma after 'I know'.

'I know, I just realised what I said. I'm so sorry.

It probably doesn't make much difference and I'm being really picky, but I just wanted to double check.

I wanted to keep a comma after 'I said', so it actually flows like one sentence.

Would you say it was acceptable to keep it in this format.

No, it should not flow as one sentence. That comma is the worse of the two.
