is this sentence ok?

"You will get as many cars as it was paid for".

Meaning that a person has come to get cars that were paid for him by somebody else. Then he gets into argument with the seller about how much money was transfered to the seller's account and consequently how much cars this sum will do. In the course of the argument the seller says the aforesaid phrase.

Quite an idiotic situation, I know. I have just thought it out.
