Is this sentence native like? Chores

I saw my brother being told off by his mum because he doesnt do anything useful. He feel down in the dump. He doesnt realise that his action would make his mum think so badly of him. He just want to adapt to the japanese time zone so he can watch live NHK like his friend from Japan but turns out that his mum think that is a behaviour he is trying to dodge the chores When his mum stopped, I find the way to motivate him to be a good son so he doesnt get stuffed. I say:
If you are not doing for your mum, do it for your pocket money because you are staying here helping her with the house works. Until you get a job and finish your A levels. You can leave. Cheers!
