A friend of mine asked me whether this sentence looks okay: "I´ve decided to not be a liar any longer."
I told him that it doesn't sound right to me and changed it to: "I´ve decided not to be a liar any more." Note: there is nothing wrong with 'longer', just felt that 'more' suited better, personal choice.
He then further asked me whether it is possible to insert 'being' in the sentence. After a while of contemplating I said no. "Perhaps if we add in a preposition," I added; "but it still sounds iffy and would still recommend my first suggestion."
"I´ve decided on not being a liar any longer"
I told him that it sounds as if the answer/decision is expected.
What do you guys think?

I prefer "I've decided not to be a liar any more". " sounds a bit odd, but it's grammatically correct.
