Is this sentence grammatically correct?

"The majority of these interviewees never had children, however, there were some who had children but classify themselves as childless."

I'm writing a summary of a research article about childless parents and I am describing who was interviewed. The sentence before the one above already describes how many participants were interviewed. ie. "100 individuals were recruited for a 90 minutes long interview..."

Thank you in advance! Emotion: smile
